On the 7^th and 8^th of March 2013 , 6 students from S6 travelled to New York City to partake in the 37^th annual UNIS-UN Conference which is held each year in the General Assembly of the United Nations Headquarters.

The travelling party of students and the accompanying teacher was: Juan SCHINAS, Emma DOHERTY, Gabrielle CLOUTIER, Jacqueline ECKERT, Ruby VISSER, Fiona LAVROFF and Mr O CATHAIN. 

The Conference was entitled “Modern Youth quake: A Generation’s Impact” and included a presentation from Mr. BAN Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations. 

The attending students were chosen from a high number of applicants and represented the school very well over the trip.   The report back from the group has been very positive and that the experience gained will inspire them in their studies and in life.
