KiVa at EEB3 | Secondary School

KiVa is an anti-bullying program developed by the University of Turku in Finland. It plays a key role in creating a positive and safe school environment, helping students understand, prevent, and address bullying.

How We Implement KiVa

Yearly Plan:  Prevention-focused lessons

  • S1 and S2 classes: 5 per year
  • S3 classes: 2 per year

At the start of the school year, parents are informed about the KiVa program and the launch of KiVa weeks. Updates are shared throughout the year to keep families involved and connected.

At the end of each KiVa week, once all classes have received their lessons, a summary of the topics discussed is shared with parents.

Our Goals

The main goal of KiVa is to prevent bullying, raise awareness, and equip students with practical tools to protect themselves and support others.

We also encourage parents to have regular conversations at home about the topics discussed in school, helping to reinforce awareness and support the school’s initiatives 💬❤️.

The KiVa Team

The school is proud to have a dedicated team of 11 educators, all trained by the University of Turku, working to create a safe and respectful school environment.

These teachers deliver KiVa lessons across S1, S2, and S3 classes.

The KiVa team also supports students when bullying cases arise, meeting with them individually or in small groups to provide guidance, support, and practical strategies.

The Educational Adviser, who leads the follow-up, may ask for assistance from a KiVa team member or the school psychologist when needed to discuss the situation with the students involved.

The team includes at least one native-speaking teacher for each linguistic section, ensuring clear communication and understanding for all students.
