Types of activities and LOGI group goals
Creation of a group dynamic and interactions around board games, construction games, cooperative games. Particular attention is paid to the child’s development within the group,
Discovery activities (philosophy, music, writing through history, astronomy, optical illusions…)
Scientific experiences (in collaboration with secondary teachers, university)
Reflexion (think before you act) as chess, puzzles, quizz challenges, research, riddles, logic games..
Who ?
Children from all language sections participate in the LOGI group at the request of teachers in class council.
Once accepted, the student can participate from September or later in the school year. The parents are informed via the class teacher. A follow- up with the pedagogical team is provided.
Distribution of pupils groups :
There are three groups :
- Tuesday : Group a : 1st and 2nd primary
- Tuesday : Group b : 3rd and 4th primary
- Thursday : Group c : 4th and 5th primary
When ?
A 30-minute session is organized once a week for each group during the lunch time on Tuesday and Thursday between 11:30 and 12:40 in French/English. Each pupil receives a meal if he is registered in the canteen.
How?
This is a project in which the child is invited to respect the following rules:
- To be on time
- Let us know if he doesn’t come during a session or if he doesn’t want to come in the group anymore
- Respect the others (turn of speech, respect of the convictions of the others without making a value judgment)
- Discussions about potential conflicts: leadership, exclusions of some pupil
